Tuxtla, Chiapas - A press conference was held to announce the rematch between Jackie Nava and Ana Maria Torres, which takes place on Saturday, July 30, at the Metropolitan Arena in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas. In a co-promotion by Zanfer and HG Boxing, the two best Mexican female fighters will clash for the second time in card called "Accounts Receivable" and broadcast by TV Azteca.
Nava (24-3-3, 11 ko’s) and Torres (25-3-3, 15 ko’s) faced off on April 16 in Veracruz, and after providing a great battle, the fight ended with a draw. Neither camp was happy and there was an even split among the public and the press, as to the actual winner. The three judges recorded an identical 95-95 tally. Jackie Nava is expected to open training camp at the Otomi Ceremonial Center next week, as she did for her first fight against Torres.
