Culiacan, Sinaloa - "We do not like to fool people, the fight against Nehomar Cermeño will be a real fight," said Fernando Montiel at the final press conference ahead of Saturday's main event bout at the Banorte stadium, which is promoted by Zanfer and televised by TV Azteca.
Regarding his Venezuelan opponent Nehomar Cermeno (20-3-0, 12 KO) - "He's been a world champion twice and he's a specialist in defeating opponents at home, therefore, it will not be an easy compromise. Also, he is just as eager to succeed as I am, so I assure you it will be a great fight.
Montiel emphasized that his comeback has caused much morbidity.
"People want to see me return from the fight with Nonito Donaire and I'll prove that I'm still a force. My plan is to get another world championship, but first I have to beat Cermeño on Saturday.
For his part, Cermeno said - "I've come in well prepared physically and mentally to be victorious, and I plan to give a great evening of boxing to all of the fans of Culiacan, who received me very well.
