Alexis Del Bosques of Mexico and Kevin Nevies of Catano, Puerto Rico are ready to add another chapter to the legendary rivalry between Puerto Rican and Mexican boxers when they face-off on Saturday June 4 in the main event of a professional boxing card presented by Miguel Cotto Promotions at the Cosme Beitia Coliseum in Catano, Puerto Rico. The nine fight card is co-promoted by H2 Entertainment and Roc Nation Sports and will mark the debut of the boxing series “Boxeo Al Maximo” in the United States powerful Hispanic television network Mega TV.
Del Bosque who is only 21 years-old, resides in Dallas, Texas and has a record of 11-2 with eight knockouts and he has won his last three fights, but he has not fought since Abril of 2015. Then came the opportunity for Del Bosques to face Nieves (9-1-1, 5 KOs) in an eight round lightweight bout. Nieves, will be headlining his second card, he stopped the normally sturdy Mikito Soto in three rounds last November 25 in the Comerio Coliseum.

In the co-main event of the night Jose “Wonder Boy” Lopez (16-1-1, 12 KO’s) of Carolina, who, in 2014, was part of one of the most controversial fights in recent years when he got a very disputed majority decision over Robert Castaneda, will make his debut fight at 130lbs.

Also in action in a middleweight bout, Magdiel Cotto (3-0, 3 KOs), a member of the Puerto Rico team in the Pan-American Games, will take on Antonio Alicea of Carolina who will be making his professional debut, and the 18-year-old prospect Joh Bauza (1-0, 1 KO), who was 170-8 in the amateurs and recently won a USA amateur championship, will have the opportunity to fight in his birth city for the first time as he takes on Mike Erosa of Vega Baja in a four round bout.

In a junior welterweight re-match, Yomar Alamo (9-0, 7 KOs) of Aguas Buenas will take on Gabriel Diaz (5-11-1, 1 KO) of Guyana in a six round bout. In another bout, flyweight Charlie Clemente (11-0, 4 KOs) of Carolina will face Christian Lopez of Maunabo in an sixth round bout, and Kelvin Nunez (13-0, 11 KOs) of Carolina will take on Jonuel Tapia of Aguas Buenas in a six round 195 pound bout. Bryan Chevalier (5-0-1, 5 KOs) of Bayamon will take on Luis Ortiz (3-20) of Corozal in a six round 122 pound bout and Derrieck Cuevas (6-0-1) of San Juan will face Javier Garcia in a four round bout at 147 pounds.
