All three judges scored it 97-93.
It was a feeling out round in the first, with both choosing to box with the jab. Rivera dominated with the jab in the second, as he began to land harder shots. It was more of the same in the third and fourth.
Not much of a change in the fifth, but they began to trade bit more in the sixth. Adorno landed a good hook and Rivera took it. Rivera was letting his power punches go a bit more in the seventh, but Adorno was also doing better with his boxing.
Rivera continued to outbox Adorno for the remainder of the fight, as Adorno was unable to overcome the accurate jab.
