It was a crazy night of boxing in Mexico. WBO world featherweight champion Orlando "Siri" Salido rallied after suffering two knockdowns to stop Filipino Weng Haya with 35 seconds remaining in the eight round at the Palenque Ciudad in Obregon, Sonora. Haya (15-5, 8KOs) caught Salido (37-11-2, 25 KOs) with a big left hook at the end of the third round. Salido got up at the count of nine and was saved by the bell, but got dropped again in the fourth. He rallied back to stop Haya in the eight.

At the Arena Jorge Cuesy of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas - Jorge 'Maromerito' Paez won a ten round majority decision over previously undefeated Omar 'Businessman' Chavez in the welterweight main event of a special card called - 'Legacy of Legends'. Chávez (27-1-1, 20 KOs) and Paez Jr. (30-4-1, 18 KOs) had a thrilling battle.
