Aguas Buenas, PUERTO RICO - The gold medalist in the last Central American and Caribbean Games, José Pedraza, is training for his professional debut on the undercard of "Boxing Champions." This will be held on Friday, February 18 at the Auditorio Juan "Pachin" Vicens in Ponce.

"I'm already looking forward to February 18 to start down a new path in my life. From childhood I dreamed of the moment to jump to the professional ranks and I am grateful to be able to do this in my beautiful island of Puerto Rico," said Pedraza, who is promoted by Universal Promotions, Gary Shaw Productions and DiBella Entertainment.

Pedraza, during the last Olympic cycle, campaigned at 132 lbs. In addition, he captured bronze in the Pan American Games in Brazil in 2007, and won a silver medal at the championships in Milan in 2009 and a gold medal in Mayaguez in the 2010 Central American Games.
