SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO) and its program “Kids Drug Free” gave today boxing clinics to the kid of the Summer Camp of the community of Cupey Alto as part of the succesful program Kids Drug Free. Photos by Norma Nieves

The activity got the #2 WBO superbantamweight contender Jonathan "Polvo" Oquendo and 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games Gold Medalists Angel Acosta and Enrique Collazo, giving their boxing skills and words to the children at the Complejo Deportivo de Cupey Alto.

Oquendo (21-2, 14 KOs), who is also the WBO NABO and Latino champion in 122 pounds, was together with his trainer Dennis Pantoja and the Puerto Rico Amateur Boxing Federation president Jose Luis Vellon bringing their knowledge to the kids. Amateur National Team boxers as Jean Anthony Ortiz, Carlos Ortis, Antonio Ortiz, Felix Verdejo and Jose Soto participated in the clinics.

There worked in the clinics referee Jose H. Rivera, Judge Hernando Steidel and trainer Juan "golo" Gomez and Florencio Gonzalez.
