Everybody at the WBC was very glad when the WBC Lt. Heavyweight World Champion, the Canadian-Haitian fighter Jean Pascal visited our office along with promoter Yvon Michel and his international agent Don Majeski.
Pascal, a great champion; chatted and shook hands with all the media and persons in the WBC press room. Some of the words he said were that he is very proud and satisfied of being a WBC champion; and as time goes by, he will try to conquer the Heavyweight crown and it will be the WBC one for sure.
Meanwhile he was caressing his belt and showing it to everyone. He put on the emblematic Tshirt of the WBC 48th Convention to be held in Cancun from Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, and he promised to be present in company of other champions who have already confirmed their attendance. The 28 year-old Jean Pascal conquered the title on June 19th, 2009 when he defeated Canadian-Rumanian fighter, Adrian Diaconu. He has made three defenses of his title up to now, and his most recent win was over Chad Dawson, of the U.S.A.
