Former light heavyweight world champion Jean Pascal dominated and stopped Steve Bosse in the eight round, in the main event of a big card at Place Bell in Laval. Around 3,300 fans were estimated in the venue. (photos by Robert Levesque/Photo Zone Sport).
Bosse tried to do the best that he could - but Pascal was landing much stronger punches and he was too experienced of a fighter.
After scoring a knockdown in the third, Pascal closed the show in the eight with heavy punches that sent Bosse down for a second time. The referee had seen enough at that point and waved things off.
There are several reports which indicate that Bosse had a tear in his right bicep, which he suffered during training camp. He plans to have surgery on Monday.
Reportedly, he is also complaining of sustaining a broken jaw in the bout.
Pascal is planning to continue his career - but the weight class is unknown.
Pascal weighed in at 193-pounds for this bout. It remains to be seen if he'll continue at cruiserweight or drop back to 175.
