TOA BAJA, PUERTO RICO - José "Chelo" González and Manuel Alejandro Siaca take the stage this Friday, November 4, for the eighth edition of the hit series "A Puno Limpio" at the coliseum Antonio R . Barceló of Toa Baja, in a presentation by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP), in association with Top Rank, which can be seen live and exclusively by WAPA 2 in Puerto Rico and WAPA America to the United States.
In the main event, Gonzalez (17-0, 13 KOs) will defend his belt for the second time, as he stakes the Latino lightweight title of World Boxing Organization (WBO) against veteran Fernando Trejo (33-15-6, 19 KOs) in a ten round clash. For Gonzalez, who is ranked seventh in the world by the WBO at 135 pounds, Trejo is the most experienced opponent that he ever faced. It's the fifth fight for Gonzalez in 2011.
"Trejo says he's coming to give a good fight. I hope so because we are well trained to look good and win this fight for my people of Toa Baja," said Gonzalez, 28.
Meanwhile, the co-feature bout of the evening will have former world champion Manny Siaca (23-7, 20 KOs) making his second ring appearance in less than a month when he faces George Rivera (13-6 and four KOs) for the Fedecaribe middleweight title of World Boxing Association (WBA), which is held by the Puerto Rican Siaca, a native of Levittown, Toa Baja.
"I have the opportunity to fight again in my town and I am very happy to do so, and once again with Chelo, and my townspeople, I aim to place the name of Toa Baja in a high position. We will do everything to win this battle and move on to a title shot," said Siaca.
The first fight of the night will start at 6:30 pm. Tickets for this eighth edition of "A Puno Limpio" are on sale at Ticketcenter by accessing www.tcpr.com or by calling (787) 792-5000. Prices are $15 general admission and $ 40 ringside.
