TOA BAJA, PUERTO RICO - The undefeated José "Chelo" González and top contender Jonathan "Polvo" Oquendo will co-headline the third edition of the series "A Puno Limpio," this Friday, June 3 at the coliseum Antonio R. Barcelo in Toa Baja, in a presentation by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP), which will be seen through WAPA America and WAPA 2.

Gonzalez (15-0 and 11 knockouts) will face Mexico's Jose Gerardo "Pipino" Cuevas Jr. (14-6 and 12 KOs), son of former world champion Jose "Pipino" Cuevas, for the vacant WBO Intercontinental title, while Oquendo (20-2 and 13 knockouts) will face Jesus "Changa" Martinez (18-7 and 11 knockouts), who arrives this evening to Puerto Rico.

 "We went back to Toa Baja with this great lineup, and his fighter Chelo Gonzalez, this time he is in search of a title in his village, where we know we have the support of all fans. Also Jonathan Oquendo, and we will have Jonathan "Bomba" Gonzalez and other top prospects in Toa Baja and the entire island, which will be seeing action," said promoter Ivan Rivera, president of PRBBP, who always appreciated the assistance provided by the Mayor of Toa Baja, Anibal Vega Borges.

For "Chelo" González, a native of Toa Baja, this will be the third fight of 2011 and the fifth time in his career he will fight before the people in Antonio R. Barceló. The fight against Cuevas Jr. will be at 10 rounds.

 "I am very happy to be fighting back in my hometown, in front of my people, and I can say is that I'm well prepared for this fight. We have done work in the gym, "said Gonzalez, who said he did not know Cuevas Jr., stating that "to see the videos and everything on my opponent is the job of my coach and my manager Roberto Nevarez Andres Ortiz. Meanwhile, at four rounds, Anthony Sanchez (3-0-1 and three KOs), of Toa Baja, fights against Jose Collazo (2-1, and two knockouts) at 140 pounds, Ken Alvarez, also of Toa Baja, opens against Radames Vélez (1-1 and a KO) at 135 pounds. Toabajeño Jonel debuts against Jonathan González Nieves (0-1) at 118 pounds, and a clash of debutants with Francisco Ocasio and Fernando Ramos fighting at 135 pounds.

"A Puno Limpio" will continue on Friday, July 1 at the Tomas Dones Coliseum in Fajardo, followed by shows on August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2 in locations to be announced.

The transmission will be seen exclusively live from 9:00 pm to 11:00 p.m. through WAPA 2 for Puerto Rico (4.2 in regular antenna, Dish Channel 27, Channel 85, One Link, Channel 53, Liberty, Channels 25 and 239, Choice and DIRECTV Channel 657) and largely WAPA America United States, millions of viewers.
