There are still a lot of question marks floating around when it comes to the career of former featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa.

The Cuban marvel confused many by pulling out of a scheduled April 14th date with Brandon Rios at the Mandalay Bay and just recently it was reported that Gamboa also skipped out on a meeting to resolve some issues with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who co-promotes the fighter, this past Saturday.

Despite the turmoil, Gamboa’s spirits don’t seem to be broken, as easily evidenced when crossing paths with the 30-year old. Gamboa was again spotted at his new stomping grounds on Tuesday afternoon, the Mayweather Boxing Club, as he engaged in another training session while his good friend Floyd Mayweather Jr. also worked.

Gamboa has definitely put on some weight but a lot of it appears to be solid muscle, perhaps in anticipation of a possible date with Rios. Who knows what the future holds but at least Gamboa is staying close to the sport, if anything else.
