NEW YORK - Undefeated and 2012 Olympian FELIX VERDEJO (12-0, 9 KOs) of San Juan, Puerto Rico who will be featured on the undercard of next Saturday's Middleweight World Championship bout headlined by Three-Division world champion and the Pride of Puerto Rico MIGUEL COTTO and World Boxing Council (WBC)/The Ring middleweight champion and SERGIO "Maravilla" MARTÍNEZ of Argentina Saturday, June 7, at the "Mecca of Boxing," Madison Square Garden is already in town to promote the big card.

Today Felix Verdejo had public workout and a Meet & Greet at Puerto Rican Festival / Bronx Cultural Arts Festival on 152nd Street Between Jackson & Union Ave in the Bronx, New York where he shared the stage with one his biggest fan Multi-Grammy Award Winner, Puerto Rican Rapper Calle 13 who had this to say about Verdejo: Future Champ, Great Boxer and a humble guy and also sent a video on his Instagram account.

“I am very happy to have the opportunity to spend some time with fans and very grateful for all of their support. I work hard because people expect a lot out of me and I hope to give them a great fight on June 7,” said Verdejo.  

Verdejo’s bout is one of three top undercard fights will be televised live exclusively in WAPA 2 Deportes in Puerto Rico and Wapa America in the United States.

This historic telecast will emanate live from The Garden and will feature undefeated Puerto Rican prospects Felix “Diamante” Verdejo, Jose “Wonder Boy” Lopez and the professional debut of Puerto Rican Olympian Jantony Ortiz, who was also in the Bronx today showing his skills.

Verdejo (12-0, 9 KOs) will take on Engelberto Venezuela (9-1, 3 KOs) of Mexico in a six-round lightweight bout, Lopez (12-0, 10 KOs) of Carolina, Puerto Rico the WBC Fecarbox Super Bantamweight champion will take on Raul Higaldo (21-10, 17 KOs) in an eight-round title bout and Ortiz will make his debut against Elio Ruiz in a four-round flyweight bout.
