A very technical fight, with Alvarez holding the minor edge. Both had a lot of respect and were not taking big chances. It continued to play out the same way in the third and fourth. Seals was a bit more lively during the fourth.
Alvarez was content to work from the outside and they would tie up whenever they got too close. Near the end of the fifth, Alvarez shook up Seals with a solid shot. Alvarez continued to use his jab during the sixth. Seals was bleeding from the mouth and nose from the jab.
During the seventh, Alvarez landed a big right hand to send Seals down and out against the ropes.
