WBA champion Danny "Baby Faced Assassin" Roman stepped on a scale in Tokyo on Tuesday and weighed in at 121.2 lbs., while homegrown talent and No. 11 rated challenger Ryo "Pretty Boy" Matsumoto checked in at 122 lbs.

Roman (23-2-1, 9 KOs) defends his world title for the first time since acquiring it in knockout fashion over Shun Kubo in September - a fight that took place in Japan.

On top of the pressure that comes with a first title defense, Roman, who is from Los Angeles, will have to deal with a pro-Matsumoto (21-1, 19 KOs) crowd.

"I'm not worried about the home court advantage," said the 27-year-old Roman. "I went against it when I won the championship in Kyoto [Japan] so I know what to expect."

The 12-round world championship fight, dubbed "The Challenge," is promoted by Thompson Boxing Promotions in association with Ohashi Promotions and will take place from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
