Danielito Zorrilla has made weight ahead of a scheduled fight for the second time in exactly one month.
This time around, he will have an actual fight to show for the effort.
Puerto Rico’s Zorrilla and Mexico’s Pablo Cesar Cano are set for their rescheduled ten-round junior welterweight clash. Both boxers did their part at Monday’s official pre-fight weigh-in for their TrillerVerz headliner which takes place Tuesday evening at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Zorrilla (15-0, 11KOs) came in right at the 140-pound divisional limit, slightly heavier than his weight of 139.8 pounds for the eventually canceled clash with Cano this past August 14 in Frisco, Texas.
Cano (33-7-1, 23KOs) weighed 139.7 pounds, one month after being stuck in Mexico without a travel visa in order to proceed with his previously scheduled clash with the unbeaten Puerto Rican prospect.

Zorrilla fights for the first time since a technical decision win over Ruslan Madiyev this past March in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The bout ended with Zorrilla—a 27-year-old prospect from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico—unable to continue after repeated rabbit punches, which cost Madiyev two points on the scorecards and ultimately the fight.

Cano has not fought since a second-round knockout of Roberto Ortiz in November 2019. The combination of injuries, the pandemic and travel delays has stalled the career progress of the veteran contender from Atizapan de Zaragoza, MExico. The win over Ortiz is Cano’s lone bout since a stunning first-round stoppage of former three-division titlist Jorge Linares in January 2019.
