The legendary Luis Ramon "Yori Boy" Campas (98-15-1, 77KOs) will return on Saturday August 6 at the Municipal Gymnasium of Navojoa, Sonora. Campas will face Mohammed Akrong of Ghana for the International middleweight title of World Boxing Association (WBA).
Promising prospects Jose "Sugar" Salgao, Andrew "Jaguar" Gutierrez and Jesus "Negrito" Silvestre will appear on the undercard and test their destructive capacity against foreign rivals.
José Salgado (25-1, 22 KOs) will take on Carlos "Pancake" Farias of Argentina for the International super flyweight title (WBC). Farías (12-3-1, 1 KO) fights for the first time on Mexican soil.
Jesus Silvestre (22-2-1, 16 KOs) will measure forces with the dangerous Walter Rojas, of Argentina for the strawweight Fedecentro title (WBA). Rojas has a record of 17-1-1, 16 KOs.
And making his debut under Canelo Promotions, Andrew "Jaguarcito" Gutierrez faces Jose Carmona of Colombia over ten rounds. Gutierrez (19-0, 16 KOs) and Carmona (12-1, 8 KOs) are both predicting a knockout ending.
