With no fights under his belt in the 2012 calendar year, super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell (20-1, 14 KO’s) is chomping at the bit to get his career back on track.

While Dirrell may be growing slightly weary of his latest spell of inactivity, his fortitude hasn’t appeared to waver, as evidenced by a brisk training session on Monday afternoon inside of Barry’s Boxing in Las Vegas.

After going some lively rounds with middleweight prospect Cerresso Fort (14-0-1, 10 KO’s) and prospect Craig Duncan, Dirrell finished up his day by hitting the medicine ball with Rodney Crisler and getting down to business on the mitts with his trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr.

No official word yet on Dirrell’s return, but he is hoping for something later this month as he awaits word from his promoter Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson of SMS Promotions.
