The super flyweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Omar "El Huracán" Narvaez, is ready to make another defense of world crown, this time against Mexico's David Carmona on Saturday night at the Villa La Ñata Sporting Club, in Benavidez, Buenos Aires, Argentina, which will be televised live on TyC Sports in Argentina and much of Latin America.
Narvaez (40-1-2, 21 KOs), who was Argentine record holder, totaling 16 successful defenses of his WBO world flyweight title, will be making the ninth defense against of his current title against Carmona (16-1-4, 8 KOs), ranked at No. 9 by the WBO. On Friday afternoon both fighters weighed in at 114.8-pounds.
