The pic is Oscar 'Battling' Nelson. Former LW champion, conqueror of the great Joe Gans and the toughest fighter that ever lived. The pic is from his older days. Taken after he was assaulted by 2 robbers who managed to steal his coat even though he kicked both of their asses. After that the already punchdrunk Nelson got totally bonkus and hs tormented brain only allowed him to say few whispering words. He died penniless a couple of years later.
