Undefeated superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. released a personal photo via his Twitter account of him with super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell, Cuban featherweight sensation Yuriorkis Gamboa, and WBA featherweight titlist Celestino Caballero.

“@MayweatherPromo slowly puts together its BOMB SQUAD,” Mayweather would tweet to his 2-million plus followers.

It’s no secret that Dirrell, Gamboa, and Caballero have all been linked to Floyd Jr.’s promotional company Mayweather Promotions over the past few months and from the looks of things, Mayweather is definitely looking to step his game up in the promotional field.

Dirrell, originally from Flint, Michigan, has been training out of Las Vegas for several years and made a surprise stop by Floyd’s gym in late March. At the time Dirrell told me that he was just in town to talk a little business and it was easy to get the sense of what might be taking place behind the scenes.

Dirrell stuck around Vegas for a few weeks and was an essential part of one of the most liveliest atmospheres inside of a gym I have seen when he sparred prospect Badou Jack in front of a packed and raucous crowd as Floyd and company watched on and talked trash along the way. A former title challenger in the super middleweight class, Dirrell returned from a 21-month layoff on December 30th as he wiped out Darryl Cunningham inside of two rounds.

Gamboa is a new face to Floyd’s gym, as the former featherweight champ made headlines when he skipped out on scheduled press conferences in Miami and Los Angeles in early March that were meant to officially announce a scheduled April 14 date with Brandon Rios. Gamboa would opt not to push forward with the Rios fight to the dismay of his co-promoters Top Rank and he has since been spotted at the Mayweather Boxing Club on numerous occasions as his bond with Floyd appears to grow stronger.

Hailing from Panama, Caballero began training out of Las Vegas in late 2009, as he linked up with Floyd’s Uncle Jeff, and the two seem to be a great fit together. Now back into the swing of another training camp, Caballero is presently eyeing a defense of his WBA belt and all signs point to a clash with undefeated contender Mikey Garcia in the coming months.
