Artie Pelullo has advised BoxingScene.com that when lightweight Petr Petrov makes his 2015 debut on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights on January 16th at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York, he will be paired with William Silva.
"He's a Brazilian guy, he's a pretty good fighter," said Pelullo on Friday afternoon."We got that from the ESPN guys in Brazil. He's undefeated."
The 27-year old Silva has a mark of 21-0 (12 KO's) and has fought the bulk of his career in his home country (with a few appearances in Miami, sprinkled in).
Petrov is a fighter with a lot of momentum having won the 2014 Boxcino Tournament by going through Fedor Papazov, Chris Rudd and Fernando Carcamo. The 27-year old Russian, who resides in Spain has a record of 35-4-1 (31 KO's).
