Peter Fury has told BoxingScene that the Fury family’s link with Mick Hennessy will last until the end of Tyson and Hughie Fury’s boxing career as he believes that the head of Hennessy Sports is the best promoter out there.

Both Tyson and Hughie turned professional under Hennessy.  He has guided Tyson to a mandatory heavyweight world title shot against Wladimir Klitschko.  Peter believes that Hennessy will also take Hughie to the top of the heavyweight division.

“I think Mick’s the best promoter in Britain, he’s a very clever, straight man who does his job properly,” he said.  “I rate him very highly as a businessman, a promoter and as a friend.

“All our dealings with him have been done in our interests.  No one will take Mick’s place.  We’re a unit.  People have tried to step into Mick’s shoes, but they can’t do it, he’s with us until the end of our path in boxing.”

He added: “Mick’s very astute.  He’s a man’s man.  There’s a lot of Prima Donnas in boxing, I don’t see a lot of real men in it.  Mick’s a real man, and I respect him for that.”

Peter trains both Tyson and Hughie, he will work his son’s corner at Bristol's City Academy next month and will lead the corner in Dusseldorf on November 28 as his nephew bids to upset the odds against the long-time world Champion in a fight that will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office here in the U.K.
