San Manuel Indian Nation, Calif.- With fury in their fists and victory on their minds, Luciano Perez (13-3-0, 12 KO's) of Chicago, and Calvin Odom (14-8-0, 10 KO's) of Inglewood, will face off in a 10 round championship bout for the Global Boxing Union (GBU) Welterweight title. It all goes down in "Thursday Night Thunder" on Apr. 27 at San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highland. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Yuhaviatam showroom.

Fight fans may recognize Perez from his television breakout in season two of "The Contender". As he is amply called by the show promoter, "a traditional Latin fighter with KO power", Perez carries a big punch and a winning attitude. Having fought during televised fights on Telefutura and Solo Boxeo, Perez promises to bring celebrity excitement with industry know-how to this stimulating event.  In this fight, Perez takes on the big puncher, Calvin Odom of Inglewood, Calif. With 10 KO'S behind him, Odom aims to take the title in what should be a seat-gripping event. 

Also on the under card that evening will be Rodrigo Mosquera of San Bernardino, Calif., making his pro debut and the world rated, Heather Percival  (7-2-0, 1 KO) of Fontana, Calif.
