New Jersey junior middleweight contender Pawel Wolak will pursue his ninth straight win, his third consecutive knockout as well as his sixth stoppage during that run when he takes on Domincan Republic-born Delvin Rodriguez of Danbury, Connecticutt on July 15 on ESPN's Friday Night Fights at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. Wolak's manager, Ivan Edwards, spoke to BoxingScene.com about his fighter's prospects beyond Delvin Rodriguez

"Pawel Wolak still wants a opportunity to fight Sergiy Dzinziruk, but we haven't heard anything about that in quite some time. So  right now , Pawel has a very solid fighter in front of him In Delvin Rodriguez."

BoxingScene.com: What sort of performance do you think that he needs against Delvin Rodriguez?

"With a solid showing on July 15th against Rodriguez, our team would be more than interested in fighting Dzinziruk. Wolak is preparing very hard for the fight he has a great corner Aroz Gist, Tommy Brooks and Bismark Bruce. This is a must-win fight. I know that Wolak is very ready to leave a major impression on fight night."

"So we aren't discounting Delvin in any way. Wolak knows that this is going to be a fight. But provided it all goes well, we are going to campaign for a title shot. Pawel wants his part of the pie , and Dzininruk has it. He's got the WBO belt."
