Paul Williams Tentative HBO Return on April 10

BoxingScene.com was informed that Paul "The Punisher" Williams will make his HBO return on the tentative date of April 10. No information is available on the opponent or the weight. More than likely Williams will fight an opponent at 154 or 160-pounds.

HBO would love to make fight a between Williams and middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik. Their promoters have taken a hard line on the money. The Williams side are holding their position for a 50-50 split, which Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum told BoxingScene "will never happen." There are ongoing talks for a possible fight between Pavlik and Sergio Martinez for April 17 on HBO. If a deal is not reached for Pavlik-Martinez, then the door is wide open for a Williams-Martinez rematch.
