Paul Butler has confirmed his new trainer, less than a week after splitting with Arnie Farnell.
The Ellesmere Port super flyweight (21-1, 12 KOs) parted company with his long-time mentor, with whom he had been for six years, last Thursday.
And Butler has now made a decision as to where his future –– in terms of a new gym and trainer –– lies.
He has confirmed that, as Boxing Scene originally reported last week when revealing news of the split between Butler and Farnell, he is now training with Oliver Harrison in Salford.
“Just to let everyone know who was interested in what gym/trainer I was going with,” Butler wrote on social media, “I'm now at Oliver Harrison's gym.”
Fans wished the 27-year-old former IBF bantamweight world champion well after he released details of his next move, while new gym-mate Rocky Fielding welcomed him on Twitter, saying that it was “good to have you, lad.”
Butler will also be training in Manchester alongside former four-time world title challenger Martin Murray as well as Haroon Khan, the brother of former world champion Amir.
News regarding ’The Baby-Faced Assassin’s’ return to the ring is awaited, but he told Boxing Scene last week that we “should hear something soon.”
