Unbeaten Patrick Teixeira will fight Gabriel Martinez on Friday, October 2, Golden Boy Promotions announced Friday afternoon.

Teixeira (25-0, 21 KOs) will be fighting for the second time in the United States under the Golden Boy Promotions banner. In his last bout on April 18, the Sao Paolo, Brazil resident knocked out Patrick Allotey in the second round.

The bout took place in Verona, N.Y. on the undercard of the Lucas Matthysse-Ruslan Provodnikov bout.

Martinez (28-10-1, 15 KOs) snapped a nine-bout losing streak on March 30, knocking out Manuel Valenzuela in the fourth round in Huatabampo, Sonora, Mexico.

In the eight round co-feature bout, unbeaten junior welterweight Zachary Ochoa will fight an opponent to be announced.

Unbeaten prospects Joshua Franco (1-0) and Francisco Ochoa (2-0, 1 KOs) will fight in separate four round preliminary bouts.
