Ghanian super welterweight Patrick Allotey 34-2, (WBA #13) will take on Kanat Islam (21-0, WBA # 4) in Kazachstan on October 29, with the vacant WBA interim title at stake reports modernghana.com.
The fight will be promoted by Nelson Promotions and Zherzu Company and go ahead in Almaty. Allotey is scheduled to arrive in Kazachstan already on October 15 for final preparations.
Kanat represented China in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics but is of Kazach ancestry and later became a citizen of the country but. fights out of the US. The WBA regular title is held by Jack Culcay with Erislandy Lara the WBA super champ.
