Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17KOs) is ready for a very tough fight, on March 14th, when he challenges WBO/IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1, 23KOs) at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Pascal was in talks to face his countryman, WBC champion Adonis Stevenson. They were unable to agree on the terms and Pascal went forward with a plan to face Kovalev, who had also unsuccessfully tried to get Stevenson in the ring.

Stevenson considers himself to be the best fighter at 175-pounds. The WBC has ordered him to face the Kovalev vs. Pascal winner.

"[Kovalev] is a bulldozer; he does not run, does not hide. He will be in front of me trying to put me down. It will be the biggest fight in Canadian history. Three belts at stake: WBA, WBO and IBF. Kovalev is considered the boxer of the year in 2014. He is the number 9 pound for pound on the planet. I bring the biggest name in boxing in Quebec. It's easy to shout from the rooftops 'I am the best,' but we must prove it. We can not proclaim that we are the best if you're going against taxi drivers," Pascal said.
