Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17KOs) is planning to explore every option possible - if he defeats WBA/IBF/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1, 23KOs) on March 14th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
Last month, the World Boxing Council ordered WBC champion Adonis Stevenson to face the Kovalev-Pascal winner. And Pascal may indeed go forth in that direction, but he's also very tempted to get revenge on the men who beat him - Carl Froch and Bernard Hopkins.
In 2008, Pascal went to Froch's back of Nottingham to battle over twelve tough rounds for the vacant WBC 168-pound title. Pascal lost a twelve round unanimous decision. Pascal fought Hopkins twice, going to a draw in 2012 and then losing a twelve round unanimous decision in 2013.
"To be honest with you, [after Kovalev] I would love to get Carl Froch. I went to England in 2008 and I lost a close decision to Carl Froch. If I can't get Carl Froch, I would love to fight Bernard Hopkins. But right now my target is Kovalev, I never think ahead," Pascal said.
