Victory Boxing Promotions is staging their debut event this Saturday night from St. George, Utah, with a card featuring local heavyweight Pano Tiatia, who is making his professional debut.

Victory Boxing Promotions has some familiar faces involved in manager Cameron Dunkin, who in addition to Tiatia, also handles the likes of Jaron 'Boots' Ennis, Joshua Jones, Donovan Cameron, Carlos Sanchez and Zsolt Daranyi, who round out this show. The  matchmaker is Chris Middendorf.

Several years ago the two worked with TKO Promotions and began the careers of Terence Crawford, Randy Caballero and Leo Santa Cruz among others.

"The concept is to sign the best talent, make it affordable, sign the best fighters, literally in the world,"explained Dunkin, who has guided a litany of world champions and handled the likes of Johnny Tapia, Kelly Pavlik, Stevie Johnston in the past, and currently manages Nonito Donaire, Jessie Vargas and Crawford.

"Get real quality not just a bunch of guys but get real quality and build them up and keep them extremely busy and fight them often just like they used to do to build fighters in the old days."

This show is taking place at the Dixie Convention Center. They are currently working without a television deal. The hope is that by featuring local talent they can develop ticket sellers while building their records. Victory Boxing Promotions next card will be in July in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will feature flyweight Mathew 'Diamond Boy' Griego.

"My ideal is to be doing by the end of the year a show a month,''stated Middendorf, who's job in the meantime will be to find other cards for their fighters to perform on in-between."And by next year be doing three shows every two months, so 18 shows a year."
