Melva Santos will be the authority in the ring when Liliana Palmera and Alys “La China” Sánchez fight on Friday, February 6, at the Coliseum Mario de León Guzmán, in Cereté, Colombia.
Palmera will defend for the first time the World Boxing Association interim super Bantam 122 lbs belt she won on points from Venezuelan Ana Lozano in October.
Sánchez won her last fight by majority decision over Claudia Muñoz, in December in Venezuela, besides losing in May by KO against the Mexican superstar Jackie Nava for the 122 regular championship.
“La China” Sánchez (13-2-1, 4 KO) and Palmera (23-11-3, 15 KO) will have Santos as the referee, while the judges will be Héctor Afu and Víctor Simons (PAN) together with César Ramos (PUR). The supervisor will be Francisco Piña.
The former champion is scheduled to arrive in Colombia on Monday February 2.
