Filipino contender Jaderes "Mayon" Padua (8-2-1, 5KOs) has repeatedly promised to end the career of Fernando "Kochulito" Montiel (49-4-2, 37KOs) on Saturday night, when they battle for the international Super Bantamweight championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC) in Ixtapa, Mexico. Montiel, who had his fair share of ups and downs in the last two years, has vowed to retire if Padua comes out on top in the match.
"A boxer in the Philippines, Nonito Donaire, is well known for giving him a chilling knockout and I will give him another dose. I know he captured three world championships, but that happened in the lower weight divisions. This is my natural division. I have the size and that will determine the outcome. Nothing will stand in the way of my victory," Padua said.
