SUPERSTAR Manny Pacquiao was knocked down with vomiting spells on Thursday and immediately rushed to the hospital.
Pacquiao was admitted around one to two in the afternoon at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in Manila after experiencing with what seems effect of ulcer or hyper acidity.
The attending physician, Dr. Gina Bagsik, advised him to stay confined in the hospital as of press time for observation of his condition.
This writer tried to ask for Bagsik’s findings but she wasn’t available for interview. The media relations department of the San Juan-based hospital was also not ready to leak information of Pacquiao’s condition.
Pacquiao’s Pinoy assistant trainer and childhood buddy, Buboy Fernandez, who’s building his new house in Legaspi City, had something to say.
“According to Manny’s bodyguard, Patrick, it could be ulcer. That was his old ailment,” said Fernandez in telephone. “But it’s hard to speculate, we’re not sure what’s the real cause. His physician should make confirmation.”
This is the second time this year Pacquiao was rushed to the hospital. On March 21st Pacquiao was sent to the hospital due to exhaustion.
It was due to over fatigue brought about by his late night lifestyle of bar hopping, numerous product endorsements, sponsorship deals, personal appearances, nocturnal activities, and billiards playing.
Pacquiao plans to start his 45-day build-up in August the Philippines for the grudge match with Erik Morales of Mexico. The fight is set on November 18 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
