According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito could be officially announced at a press conference in Dallas, Texas as early as August 31. Cowboys Stadium is the frontrunner to host the fight after Las Vegas fell through. In March, Pacquiao's fight with Joshua Clottey drew over 50,000 fans. Arum believes the fight with Margarito will do much bigger business. Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz currently holding court in Abu Dhabi, the area making a very strong play to host the fight.

“We’ll see what happens over there (in Abu Dhabi),” said Arum to the Manila Bulletin-Tempo. "If the fight ends up in Abu Dhabi, I guess we have to do a press conference there right away but if not, we will do a press conference on August 31 in Dallas followed by two more in New York and then Los Angeles.”
