Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada - Filipino congressman Manny Pacquiao feels that he is ready for whatever style undefeated WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. brings to the ring Saturday night when they meet in what will be the richest fight in boxing history. Pacquiao met with the media shortly after his fan rally at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
The 36-year-old WBO welterweight champion said that he had a great camp and that he is prepared to hunt down Mayweather if the defensive specialist decides not to engage.
Pacquiao said that he worked on multiple strategies with his Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach and that he is ready for fight night while also jabbing Mayweather for the way he moves around the ring.
"What we are doing in training - we are very happy because we are not focusing on one strategy or technique. We are focusing on two or three strategies. Either way if he wants to fight or if he is running, or moving around the ring we are prepared for that. I changed my words because if you say 'running' he doesn't like that," Pacquiao said with a chuckle.
