Philippine super featherweight champion Bobby Pacquiao is scheduled fight Carlos Navarro for the WBC Continental Americans title at the Morongo Casino in Cabazon, California on an ESPN fight card scheduled for June 24.

Navarro who has a ring record of 26-3-1 with 21 knockouts is coming off an impressive eleventh round TKO victory over highly touted Augie Sanchez, a onetime conqueror of former two division world champion Luisito Espinosa last December 11. Navarro had earlier scored a seventh round TKO win over Espinosa on July 9, 2004.

Like Pacquiao, Navarro is also a southpaw. Pacquiao, younger brother of Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao has a record of 21-11-3 with 9 knockouts. He is coming off a ninth round knockout loss to WBC International super featherweight champion Fahprakorb Rakkiatgym last February 18 in Bangkok. However, prior to the Fahprakorb title fight Pacquiao scored a lopsided eight round decision in his US debut against Mexican journeyman Oscar Villa.

Pacquiao is currently in Cebu City training at the ALA Gym under chief trainer Edito Villamor.
