Heavyweight contender Owen "What The Heck" Beck spoke to BoxingScene.com about his upcoming fight against Tony "The Tiger" Thompson that is being televised by ESPN on this Friday's edition of Friday Night Fights. Beck commented, "Ryan I am feeling good and I just can't wait to get in the ring on Friday.  I am well prepared and ready to go."

Beck is coming off a loss to Manuel Charr in Germany that he views as controversial for many reasons that he doesn't want to dwell on. "That is in the past and I am focused
on Thompson.". When I asked how it felt to be back fighting in the United States Beck said, "It feels wonderful to be fighting here again. I am going to take advantage of this opportunity. I am fighting for Christ."

Beck is looking at this as a chance to jump start and revitalize his career. When asked what he wants to do after this fight Beck said he felt the heavyweight division was wide open. When I asked him about potentially fighting WBA champion David Haye down the road Beck remarked, "I would love to fight David Haye. First I need to beat Tony Thompson. That is my focus now. After the fight we can talk about Haye."
