While the Games and Amusements Board indulges in staging conventions and engaging in boxing promotions, overmatched Filipino fighters continue to get mauled in Thailand.

Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today was informed that four boxers were recently battered by vastly superior Thai boxers.

Fahsan 3K Battery who was knocked out in the fourth round in December 2004 by Manny Pacquiao dropped a Filipino fighter who went by the name of Renato Marco three times en route to a merciful fourth round stoppage in an IBF Pan Pacific super bantamweight title fight. There was no listing in the Philboxing website for Marco.

Gilbert De La Torre was knocked out in the third round in a clash with Asian Boxing Council No. 4 straw weight Saengpetch Sor Sakulphan who had a record of 13-2 with 10 KO’s while De La Torre was reported to have had 7 wins against 4 defeats and 1 draw, losing two of his last three fights according to the Boxrec website which also carried the results.

Jun Ray Verano lost a unanimous six round decision to Pan Asia Boxing Association super flyweight champion Duangpetch Saengmorakot who lost  once and drew once in 29 fights with 10 knockouts with Verano reportedly losing three of his last four fights.

Filipino flyweight Bert Gawat who is ranked No. 8 by the GAB battled WBO No. 2 light flyweight Kaichon Sor Vorapin who scored a unanimous decision over six rounds to record his 30th win against ten defeats. Gawat had also reportedly lost three of his last four bouts.
