Two-time Mexican Olympian Oscar Valdez will return to the ring on Saturday, December 21, in Tijuana, México. He will be part of an event that will be televised by TV Azteca throughout Mexico. Valdez (8-0, 7 KOs) of Nogales, Sonora will take on Cristian Barajas (4-4-1, 2 KOs) of Tijuana in a fight scheduled for six rounds at featherweight. This will be the seventh for Valdez in 2013, as he finishes up his first full year as a professional boxer. This will be only his second professional fight in Mexico. He made his professional debut in Hermosillo, Sonora in 2012. Valdez represented Mexico in 2008 and 2012 Olympic games.
