After what many are calling the current leader for 2016 'Fight of the Year' between Francisco Vargas and Orlando Salido - who fought to a draw on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California - the head of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, has visions of what could be future fights in this 130-pound class.

Miura was ringside at the StubHub, watching his former rival go to war with Salido for twelve rounds.

The Golden Boy CEO felt Vargas-Salido lived up to the hype - which is motivating him to stage some more action-packed fights at the weight class.

"Fight of the year, fight of the year for the next three years in a row," stated De La Hoya.

"That's what you get when you have two warriors in the ring and all I was thinking about was a round-robin with Takashi Miura, Salido and Vargas, with those three alone we can do 'fight of the years' for the next five years."

As for a possible rematch between Vargas (who held onto his WBC title by virtue of the draw) and Salido, De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com:

"Will there be a rematch down the line? I think so. Will it be immediate? I don't think so because after a war like this you want to let these fighters rest and regroup but I believe there will be something down the road."
