“I have no doubt that I won the second fight. He got lucky with the draw but acted like he had won. I was ready to go for a third fight not only for me but for the fans. I am sure that the third would have been better the first two”, added Salido.

Salido its still hoping the he will get a fight in the first quarter of 2016 and has targeted fellow countryman Vargas for an April showdown.

“Vargas probed that he is a great warrior last November when he won the championship. I everyone that I am also a warrior and fight between us will give the fans one of the best action fight they can hope for. I ready to go in April or anytime he wants”, said Salido,

Salido who has won the World Boxing Organization (WBO) at feather and super featherweight titles has given the fans some of the most action packed fights in recent years.

“I believe he won his second fight against Martinez and should have been a third opportunity but it did not happen and now are hoping to get a shot at Vargas, who just like Salido is a true warrior and will give the fans a fight to remember”, said Sean Gibbons, Salido’s advisor.

When you think of great fights between Mexicans, the first to come to mind are the ones between Erik-Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera and Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez.

“I was lucky enough to be at all seven of their fights (Morales, Barrera, Vazquez and Marquez) and Salido vs. Vargas has the making of great series between these two great Mexicans warriors”, added Gibbons.

Salido-Martinez III, sounded great, Salido-Vargas, feels like an epic.
