Orlando De Valle (11-0, 9KOs) is considering going down to the bantamweight division where he would have an easier time securing a world title shot.
"We are considering going down to 122 pounds. We are trying to do our training entirely in Puerto Rico. In New York with the climate change it makes it a little harder. I will not have trouble making the 122," he explained.
Del Valle, who has dynamite in his hands, has the promise of his promoter Lou DiBella that he's going to have an opportunity for a regional title fight some time in 2011. He says his next fight will be between February and March.
"I'm looking for an opportunity to fight for a regional title. I'll fight in February or March. I hope to finish the year at 15-0 and be placed as one of the top prospects in the world, and in 2012 I'll start searching for a title shot," he said.
