Light heavyweight Orial Kulaj, 10-5, and from Albania but fighting out of Rome, Italy, has relinquished the EU title instead of facing mandatory challenger Pole Dariusz Sek. Kulaj is ranked # 4 with the EBU and is apparently gambling of reaching the status of the official contender for champ Juergen Braehmer.
Kulaj will now fight a non-title fight on March 15 in Rome while Sek, 17-0-1, who fights this weekend in Gdansk on the big Golata-Saleta show will take on the highest available contender for the vacant EU crown.
