Ahmet Oner, CEO of Arena Box Promotions, believes Yuriorkis Gamboa is the next pound-for-pound king. Gamboa (21-0, 16KOs) is making his lightweight debut in 2012, accoring to Oner. The move to lightweight is a two division jump for the 2004 Olympic gold medal winner.

In the opinion of Oner, Gamboa will finish his career at 140-pounds. Their target in the near future is former WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios, but their real goal is a super-fight with Manny Pacquiao, who campaigns at welterweight but usually weighs well below the division limit.

"Gamboa is the only guy who can beat Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. You know, the only guy I wants to see Gamboa fight is Manny Pacquiao. That's the guy that I want to see [Gamboa fight]. People think this fight is for money, this fight is not for money. I believe Gamboa is better. I believe Gamboa is a special athlete. I love boxing and I'm proud to represent Gamboa, and I believe with a guy like Gamboa you can go after the best," Oner told BoxingScene.com.
