It was reported in the Jamaica Observer, that undisputed cruiserweight champion O'Neil Bell is trying hard to get himself back in the ring to defend his remaining titles. Bell's promoter Leon Margules is blaming promoter Don King for Bell's inactivity.

Bell defeated Jean-Marc Mormeck to unify the WBC,WBA and IBF titles a year ago, but has not been in the ring since. The IBF already stripped Bell for not facing mandatory Steve Cunningham in April. Don King won the right to stage Bell's defense of the WBC title in a rematch against Mormeck in August. Margules alleges that King has done nothing to move forward with the fight or put it together, and thus Bell sits on the sidelines waiting to return to the ring.

Margules said that they are considering a lawsuit against the WBC because they have not pushed the issue on Bell's bout with Mormeck going forward. They feel that Bell is losing out on his marketing value by not fighting for such a long time.
