In a rare move, the recognized cruiserweight champion of the world, O'Neil "Supernova" Bell, is urging British boxers Enzo Maccarinelli and David Haye to fight for the good of the sport.

Bell tells Sportinglife  that if the two camps can work out their financial disagreements and get together for a bout, he will offer the winner a shot at his WBC/WBA titles.

"Maccarinelli v Haye must happen for the good of boxing and for the good of this division," Bell said. "There aren't enough glamorous boxing shows about now but that fight has an X-Factor. Great boxing divisions is all about great rivalry. I'd be an interested party as the winner can fight Supernova. You could call Maccarinelli versus Haye an eliminator."

Bell returns to the ring on March 17 to defend his titles in a rematch with Jean Marc Mormeck.
