Mexican flyweight contender Omar Soto (21-7, 15KOs) returned to action at Foro Polanco in Mexico City, with a crushing two round destruction of Valentin Leon (20-26, 9KOs). Soto retains his WBC FECARBOX title. He unleashed hard shots to the head and then followed those punches with powerful body shots. The end came at 1'54 of the second round. Soto wins his second fight since the ten round split decision loss to former champion Brian Viloria from last July.
Soto is a skilled boxer but he manages to lose spirited fights every time he steps up the competition, which includes defeats to Cesar Seda, Omar Narvaez, Gilberto Keb, Archie Solis and Muhammad Rachman.
