The World Boxing Organization has approved a planned fight between WBO super flyweight champion Omar "El Huracán" Narvaez (43-1-2, 23KOs), and undefeated Japanese knockout artist Naoya Inoue (7-0, 6KOs), the current junior flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council. The fight is targeted for December 31 in Osaka, Japan.
The WBO has also ordered the winner of that fight to face British contender Paul Butler within six months of the December date. Butler (17-0, 8KOs), a former IBF bantamweight champion, capture that belt from Stuart Hall in June but then decided to move down in weight. The WBO positioned Butler as the mandatory challenger to the title.
